As the Senior Director of Mission Delivery, you will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. You will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Wish Granting, Volunteer Services, and Medical Outreach while ensuring exceptional experiences for wish families, volunteers, healthcare partners, and community stakeholders. What You'll Do
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Wish Granting, Volunteer Services, and Medical Outreach programs
- Develop and execute mission delivery strategies that support organizational goals, growth, and community impact
- Lead program planning, project management, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting activities
- Ensure consistent, high-quality execution of wish experiences while maintaining compliance with organizational standards and processes
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a positive, collaborative, and mission-focused culture
- Strengthen volunteer engagement strategies and partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and key stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and service delivery through enhanced processes and systems
- Navigate sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment while supporting wish families and team members
- Drive accountability, alignment, and communication across teams while effectively managing change and organizational priorities
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience overseeing programs, operations, and people
- Proven success leading teams within nonprofit, mission-driven, healthcare, social services, or related environments
- Strong program management and process improvement expertise with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects
- Demonstrated experience building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution skills
- Executive presence and leadership credibility with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate sensitive and emotionally charged situations with compassion and professionalism
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and operational excellence
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience within the Make-A-Wish network or wish-granting organizations strongly preferred
- Experience leading volunteer programs and community engagement initiatives
- Familiarity with regulated or patient-centered environments requiring strong process discipline and sensitivity
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking capabilities are highly desirable to support and engage diverse families, volunteers, and community stakeholders

Location & Travel
This position is based in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The role is fully onsite during the first six months to support onboarding, relationship building, and team integration. Following that period, the position will transition to a hybrid schedule, typically requiring three days per week in the office with flexibility based on business needs.
Candidates should reside within a commutable distance of the Wauwatosa office or be open to relocation. Occasional light travel may be required for conferences, events, and regional office visits.
